Librarianship is serious business.
I think I started my first blog in Grade 7, complete with flashing rainbow html rolling script about my then-hamster, Bink. Obviously, this blog - which is supposed to be professional, except for how I keep talking about stuff like librarians on TV and my opinions on rock stars in the library - is a natural extension of that auspicious start, and the many dead blogs that have carried me through the intervening school years.
So, a little bit about me. I am:
- an MLIS graduate of Dalhousie’s School of Information Management, as of May 2009;
- gainfully employed as a cataloguer for the school board here in Calgary, city of dreams;
- Dalhousie’s 2008 Student-to-CLA;
- a fiction writer, and graduate of UBC’s BFA program;
- a mountain-born Albertan terrified and ecstatic to be back in the oil lands.
